Michael Barrett is a Registered Psychologist specializing in providing mental health support for autistic individuals. Michael is currently working towards completing a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta. In addition, he continues his work at the Sinneave Family Foundation. As a Transition Specialist, he is involved in numerous projects focused on building skills and enhancing community engagement for autistic young adults.
He has completed additional training to deliver evidence-based interventions for adolescents and young adults, including Facing Your Fears: Group Therapy for Managing Anxiety in Children with High-Functioning Autism, and the Program for Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®).
Michael also developed and implemented, the Beast Mode Fitness Experience, an exercise training program designed to improve health and well-being for autistic young adults.
